Split system and ducted installation, servicing and repairs right across Edmonton.
Edmonton is where a lot of Cairns’ new housing is going in, and a new build is by far the best time to fit ducted air conditioning, while the roof is still open and before the ceilings go up.
Every quote is free, fixed and in writing before any work starts, no hourly surprises and no “we found something” on install day:
Edmonton is one of the fastest-growing residential pockets in the Cairns region, and most of what we do here is new-build work. If your slab is down and the frame is up, that is the window to get ducted roughed in. Once the ceilings are sheeted the job gets harder, messier and more expensive, and you end up compromising on where the ducts and returns can physically go.
On the newer estates it is overwhelmingly fully zoned ducted, because the roof space is open, the truss layout suits it and buyers want every room covered from one outdoor unit. Through the older streets nearer the town centre it is more often two or three splits: the main living area, the master and one other bedroom. Both are straightforward jobs here. Blocks are flat, access is good, and there is rarely a switchboard surprise on a house built in the last fifteen years.
Edmonton sits on the flat, inland of the coast and well south of the city. There is no sea breeze to speak of, and the afternoon heat sits in the estates well into the evening because the tree cover has not grown in yet on the newer streets. Practically, that means systems here run longer than they would at Trinity Beach for the same comfort, so getting the sizing right matters more than the badge on the front.
Edmonton combines fast-growing new estates with an older established town centre, so the housing stock ranges from brand-new slab-on-ground builds to decades-old timber homes.
Yes, email us your floor plans and we’ll come back with a recommendation and an estimate. We do this constantly for Edmonton new builds.
The rough-in happens before the ceilings are sheeted, with final fit-off near completion. Get us involved early and we’ll work backwards from your builder’s program.
In a new build, ducted is usually the better investment, it covers every room, adds value, and the install cost is lower while the roof is accessible. We’ll quote both so you can compare.
